“The Trizionesia Ship” is a tribute to the “Trizionesia Song” or “We are the natives of Trizonesia” by Karl Berbuer. The title appeared in 1948 as a carnival song, which became known beyond the borders of the Rhineland and partly assumed the function of a missing German national anthem. The song is interpreted as an indication of the distance gained from the past war and the acceptance of the 3 “occupying powers” as a humorous laugh about one’s own situation.
